If you think you may have a TMJ disorder, one of the evaluations that Dr. Jeffrey Fellner may perform is a bite evaluation using a T-Scan device. T-scans are an advanced technology used to help evaluate and correct bad bites. To schedule a consultation with our dentist and learn more about T-Scan technology in Glendale, Arizona, please contact Arrowhead Lakes Dentistry today at 623-362-9616.

The T-Scan device  is a patented sensor diagnostic device that records bite force dynamics to determine discrepancies in the bite and other problems. It measures a number of different factors, including occlusal (bite) force, location and timing to allow our dentist to gain addition information in determining the best treatment for your TMJ disorder. The information acquired by the T-Scan helps us to provide and adjust fixed prosthetics, TMJ appliances and other devices as well as make adjustments to your bite.

T-Scan machines use an ultra-thin sensor which is shaped to fit the dental arch. When you bite down on this sensor, a computer will analyze and display data on the force and timing of the bite on a nearby sensor in 2- or 3-D color graphics. This makes it easy for our dentist to understand and explain to you what is happening with your bite. We can then discuss treatment options that will be effective in meeting your needs.
